Notes From The Swamp

Personnel moves at the SEC

An interesting tidbit (link) from our friends and protectors at the Securities and Exchange Commission. You know, the ones that oversee Wall Street and the big banks to make sure there's no hint of corruption (LOL). It seems as though the guy that was appointed to be our "Investor Advocate" in 2014 has been quietly 86'd and the reports that he has prepared over the years have disappeared from the SEC's website! We're thinking that, when the house of cards collapses, the SEC can now say "but we didn't know" just like they have in previous collapses. Plausible deniability, anyone?

Other notes from this post include the announcement of a couple new SEC commissioners. One of them is currently a senior advisor to a powerful representative; that representative has been in the news for months regarding insider trading in the family. Of course she's not the only congressperson involved in questionable securities transactions over the last year. It's hard to keep up with the corruption throughout not only our elected politicians but the entire financial industry. Wake up, people! It's your money they're stealing!
