What happens when all the teachers stop teaching?
Maybe our education system wouldn't be falling behind if we paid them what they're worth
"The Washington Post reports how the Milpitas Unified School District—which is located in the San Francisco Bay area—lost 10 teachers last school year because they couldn’t afford rent prices. Potential new employees, too, were driven away by the large dollar signs." (link) The school district is asking parents to let the teachers move in with them!
Sure, Milpitas is a pricey area. But there are plenty of folks whose job pays them enough to live there. Our guess is that teachers don't directly benefit the billionaire's bottom line and are irrelevant and ignored.
