Despite making eleven billion dollars in net profit, Walmart full-time hourly employees are incapable of surviving on their earnings alone. Median household income in the US is $75K, and Walmart's full-time hourly worker averages about $30K. And 35% aren't even full-time! (link) This leaves a shortfall that the American taxpayer has to pick up, through Medicaid, food stamps, and the ACA.
Is Walmart the most evil corporation in the US? Imagine this... the end of corporations?
